【 용 례 】 공무원은 관계자에게 필요한 협조를 요구할 수 있으며, 그 문화재의 현상을 훼손하지 아니하는 범위안에서 측량·발굴·장애물의 제거 기타 조사상 필요한 행위를 할 수 있다. 다만, 일출전 또는 일몰후에는 소유자·보유자· 관리자 또는 관리단체의 동의를 얻어야 한다 A public official may ask the relevant persons for necessary cooperation, and may measure and excavate cultural property, remove any obstacles, and take other necessary measures for the investigation so long as he/she does not destroy or damage the present shape of the cultural property concerned: Provided, That consent shall be obtained from the owner, holder, manager or managing body concerned for such investigation before sunrise or after sunset. 

【 용 례 】 가축의 사체 또는 물건을 매몰한 토지는 3년(탄저·기종저의 경우에는 20년)이내에는 이를 발굴하지 못한다. 다만, 도지사의 허가를 받은 때에는 그러하지 아니하다 No person shall be allowed to dig up, within the period of three years (in case of anthrax and blackleg, twenty years), the ground where the carcasses of livestock or the goods are buried: Provided, That this provision shall not apply to a case where the permission for doing so has been granted by the Do governor. 

【 용 례 】 검증을 함에는 신체의 검사, 사체의 해부, 분묘의 발굴, 물건의 파괴 기타 필요한 처분을 할 수 있다 For an inspection, examining bodies, dissecting corpses, exhuming graves, destroying articles or taking other necessary measures shall be allowed. 

【 용 례 】 문화재의 발견신고가 있거나 발굴 또는 지표조사로 인하여 문화재가 발견된 때에는 문화재청장은 당해 문화재의 소유자가 판명된 경우에는 다음 각호에 의하여 그 소유자에게 이를 반환하고, 소유자가 판명되지 아니한 경우에는 관할경찰서장에게 이를 통지하여야 한다 When a discovery of cultural property is reported or a cultural property is discovered as a result of an excavation or of a survey of the earth surface, the Administrator of Cultural Properties Administration shall, if the owner of the cultural property is identified, return it to the owner in accordance with each subparagraph below;if the owner is unidentified, notify the chief of a relevant police station.
